Earlier this week we discussed that the open enrollment period for individual health insurance is closed and will not re-open until November 15, 2015, for coverage to take effect 1/1/2015. What about group health insurance? Is the open enrollment period closed for that as well?
I'm happy to share that it is not, and if you are waiting to start a group plan until 2015, there is no reason to wait. There are many benefits of a group medical plan to the individual employee and to your business. Group medical insurance and additional voluntary (employee-paid) benefits can be your best tool for recruiting and retaining great employees. Group medical insurance can be payroll deducted using pre-tax dollars and therefore costs you and your employees less money than if they bought the same coverage in the individual marketplace.
My team and I can provide you a group health insurance proposal customized to your business needs.
